Keeping up this hectic schedule would not be possible without a core group of people. They all just happen to be pictured in the photo above. (From left to right)
Wendy: My older sister and one of my biggest supporters, Wendy has been to almost every race I have ever competed in. She is incredibly creative and can produce the insane from the merely mundane. She has been my best friend since I was born and I could not imagine how things would turn out without her around.
Dad: An avid hunter and marksman, I have no doubt that my dad could survive completely off the grid. As a past marathon and ultra-marathon runner, I think I developed my competitive spirit and love of running from my dad. He spends his time developing incredibly unique nature-inspired jewelry. (referred to as “Camper” in the blog-this is what my kids call him)
Mom: Three words I could use to describe my mother are: driven, capable, problem-solver. For these reasons she is an awesome person to have as a race supporter and a mom. She once told me that she was my biggest fan and the feeling is mutual. (referred to as GiGi in the blog-this is what my kids call her)
Raleigh: This little guy is my second born monster. He has bright blue eyes and stark blonde hair. His smile will melt your heart and his temper will grey your hair. I have a feeling he may never sleep through the night…ever.

Eric: My amazing husband! The self proclaimed #husbandofavegan. I met Eric when I was 21, we got engaged almost a year after we met, and got married 6 months later, which happened to be the week of my 23rd birthday. Eric has a sense of humor few people fully understand, which I find hilarious. I am infinitely impressed with his skills as a father, his creativity in metal-working, and his ability to grow a gnarly beard. He is definitely the man I want in my corner.
Wylie: My first born son has light brown hair, deep chocolate eyes, and eyelashes that will break your heart. He started talking when he was 9 months old and has never stopped, no really, he even talks in his sleep! His excitement is infectious and seeing him cheer me on during a race makes every mile worth the effort.
